Bibliographie/Bibliography
These are books and authors I have found most helpful along the way from yesterday to "here and now".
Some titles are in French others in English. This list is by no means up-to-date or exhaustive. I hope that one or two titles or names will catch your attention and that you will be able to follow the thread that will unfold for you.
- Ernest Kurtz, Shame and Guilt, Hazelden, 1981.
(A short monograph about the much confused notions of shame and guilt. Kurtz differenciates the natural feeling of being limited, which he calls normal shame, from the uneasy feeling of having violated some values, which he call guilt. Other authors use different names for the same concepts... same wine, different bottles)
- Huston Smith, The Religions of Man, Harper & Row, 1958, p. 105.
(A great classic, also in luxury illustraded edition at Harpers Collins. A great tutorial about the long lasting relationship between Man and the universe above, under, before, behind and all around him)
- Melody Beattie, Codependent No More, Harper Hazelden, 1987; version française: Vaincre la codépendance, trad. Collon, J.Cl.Lattès, 1991, aussi à Éditions Sciences et Culture, 1993.
(A must for those who seek love at all cost, see also Robin Norwood's Women who love too much, des livres à lire)
- Robin Norwood, Women who love too much, Pocket Books, Simon & Schuster, 1985; Ces femmes qui aiment trop, Éd. Alain Stanké, 1986
(Title is unnecessarily reductive, "people who love too much" would have been more accurate/ Cela n'arrive pas qu'aux femmes...)
- Becker, E., (1973), The Denial of Death, The Free Press.
(In my opinion one of the most pertinent diagnosis of the human condition, one of my top 10 books ever)
- Patrick Carnes, Contrary to Love et Out of the Shadows, CompCare Publishers, 1989; version française : S’affranchir du secret, Modus Vivendi, 1993.

(Let this fire shine, chi, hara, prana, feu sacré...)
- Kurtz, E., (1991), Not-God, A History of Alcoholics Anonymous, Expanded Edition, Hazelden
(A thorough, scolarly yet alive, history and reflexion about the fellowship what has been referred to as the foremost accomplishment in social architecture during the 20th century)
- Miller, A., (1990), The Untouched Key, Anchor Books
(This and any other book by Alice Miller, the woman who gave a voice to the abused children of the world)

Quelques noms d'auteurs nourrissants
A few inspiring authors
Carl Jung, June Singer, Jean Shinoda-Bolen, Mircea Eliade, Matthew Fox, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Chungliang Al Huang, Betty Edwards, Stephen Mitchell, David Steindl-Rast, Ram Dass, James Powell, China Galland, Alice Miller, Ernest Becker, John Dourley, Alan Watts, Joseph Campbell, Ken Wilber, Sam Keen, Sogyal Rinpoche, Jean Klein, René Guénon, Helen Luke, Dante Alighieri, T.S. Eliot, Kahlil Gibran, Huston Smith, Martin Buber, Hermann Hesse, Arnaud Desjardins, John Blofeld, Erich Fromm, Marie-Madeleine Davy, Satprem... et tant d'autres/and many more...
